Thomas Van de Ven is a talented Dutch dancer who began his training at the Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, where he graduated in 2016. His professional career commenced as a member of the Tanz Luzerner Theater under the direction of Kathleen McNurney. During this period, he had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned choreographers such as Jo Strømgren, Georg Reischl, Bryan Arias, Po Cheng Tsai, Johan Inger, Fernando Magadan, Marcos Morau, Cayetano Soto, Gustavo Ramirez, and Ella Rotschild.

His time at Tanz Luzerner Theater provided Thomas with a strong foundation in contemporary dance, exploring a variety of styles and choreographic approaches. His performances were integral to various choreographic creations, contributing to the realization of unique artistic works.

Since 2020, Thomas has been a member of Aterballetto, a contemporary dance company, where he further explored the extensive repertoire of the company. His participation in national and international tours with Aterballetto has helped solidify his reputation as a talented dancer and has brought his art to a global level.

The decision to become a freelance dancer from 2022 suggests a willingness to explore new challenges and opportunities. This transition may allow Thomas to work on more diversified projects, collaborate with an even wider range of choreographers and companies, and continue to grow as an artist.
